boredem and pictures

I am currently up at my friend's house way up north and I am really bored. We have run out of things to do, the pinnacle of my time up here is the fact that we were able to make potatoe cannons. Which is pretty much a combustion chamber attached to a barrel. It works great and I might add a video of it sometime (if I ever get a camera.) But I love it and it is really fun to play with.

But now unfortunatly I we have nothing else to do and I am really bored. In the past two days we have played 12 hours of Rock Band 2. We played 6 hours a day. So if anyone as an idea for what we can do for a day please mention it, it would be very appreciated.

Secondly I wanted to mention my friend Eriray076. She does little comics and sketches on deviantart, I personally like her work and I want to give her a shout out. I would recommend you check her out but you don't have to.

I have coloured some of her pictures and I put them on my deviantart file. They will be in Eriray's favourites.

Yeah so I am just typing this because I am bored and I wanted to give my friend a shout out. I will try and think of more insightful topics for later in the summer.

Well I do have one serious topic I would like to talk about. I don't know what to call it so I am going to rant about morality.

Morality in my opinion is what is considered good and bad in society. Does anyone disagree with this? Ok perfect. Personally I don't believe in morality and I have almost no morals. I don't believe you should ever do something that would harm another person. But other than that I think that having morals is a total set back. Doing or not doing something we are created/evolved to have the urges to do it against our nature. I think that if it feels good and does not hurt anyone else why not do it. Why not let ourselves be free from morality and live our lives the way we want to and not the way we are forced to by these limitations that are set upon us.

Just a little but of actual content to this random post.

I'll say a lot in this comment probably, that's a warning. :)

First about he pictures:

DevianArt is a great site, I haven't hung out there lately but it is still one of my favorites. And yes her pictures are quite good.

Second, about morals/morality:

Well, the fact that you have ONE moral shows that you actually have numerous ones, because your one is "don't hurt anyone else". Well, that means that you can't

1. hurt someone emotionally by
a) lying
b) being mean on purpose
c) ignore someone
d) disliking them.
2. hurt someone physically by
a) hitting, kicking, scratching, whatever
b) killing them
c) dropping some heavy object on a person,
or throw something at them, etc.
3. hurt someone by extension by
a) letting something bad happen to someone
b) not letting something good happen to
someone
c) hurting yourself in any way, because that
may potentially hurt other people who
care about you
d) steal, kill, cheat, lie, hate, etc. etc., or let
any of those things happen that you could
stop

Anyway, I could list forever.... The Golden Rule covers pretty much all the morals in the world, you know. So I am pretty sure that you are more morally concerned than you think.

Don't get me wrong, I admit that it is so much easier to ignore morals and such some of the time. I was just thinking yesterday actually, and I had it all defined by a single quote that my mind thought up for me that seems to apply here nicely:

"It is easier to be a mix of good and evil than to be either one entirely."

So I guess that's all I have to say. I did warn you it would be a long comment....

PS: Boredom killers:

-instead of finger paint "foot paint"
-paint or tye-dye Tshirts (I love doing this!!)
-take random food and put it in a blender. Drink it/dare each other to drink it.
-face paint/fake tattoos/real tattoos (or henna, but it's hard to fix if you mess up, and can turn out badly if no one's used it before...)
-read a book
-order stuff online
-find random chat rooms and don't talk to anyone really, just say random stuff that no one will understand
-if you can find a bunch of people, start a tournament of "I have never", but without the drinking of course :) Everyone on Earth loves that game, there's no way to be bored!

Ok well by your definition of hurting people their are some things that I do that I probably shouldn't.

I lie. ALOT! and I am very good at it.
I ignore people I dislike.
I fight only if necessary, I punch people (friends only) jokingly.

I think that if I stay by just trying not to hurt people then I am fine but yes the golden rule is the best.

I am home now but thanks for the suggestions.

There are things I do that I for sure shouldn't, but I guess I was just trying to say that morals are an important part of society for a reason. And they are not totally forced upon us, I mean, we have to agree to them in some way or else we wouldn't even bother learning the difference between right and wrong, right?

Yeah, sorry you were bored!! Or did you find something fun to do?

The difference between wrong and right should not be told to us. Do onto others is so basic that once you are old to understand the world, you can figure that out without being taught it. Anything about morality that we have to obey because we are told and not because we feel it is right I think is pointless and oppressive.

And we found something to do alright. We rented Guitar Hero Metallica and completely whored the game. When I say this I mean we play the game as hard and as long as we could. In the span of 13 hours, I played 12 hours of guitar hero with only break for bathroom and dinner. From 2pm - 3am.

I know its pathetic but it was rainy and there was nothing better to do.

So what would you change about the rules that are forced upon us? (I'm not saying I agree with you, because I truly don't, but I am curious.)

Yeah, I'm not going to say anything about the Guitar Hero....
