Music

I have been listening to a lot of music lately mostly because I finally got an mp3 player. I love it because it plays music. (I don't need it to do very much) Mostly I have been listening to Iron Maiden and Metallica. A little Rise Against and Foo Fighters. It is good it gives me a lot of variety without much changing. Especially Metallica which I love listening to because some songs are hardcore thrash metal while others are nice and slow and all their songs are just really good to listen to.

I was wondering what songs/ bands you guys like. And any bands/ song you think I might like. I like a lot of types but mostly into metal atm. Send anything and their best (in your opinion) songs ill listen and tell you what I think(if you want)

I am going up to my cottage some time soon, maybe. So I may not respond immediatly if I do go up. I will probablly make a post before I go up yo let you know though.

REM (they take up half the space on my iPod, so I tell everyone to listen to them) and Nick Drake--Nick Drake is the greatest guy EVER even if he is dead. Everyone loves Nick Drake, because his songs are so relatable, especially his album Bryter Layter. Just listen to that whole album, and if you hate him, then you need to listen to it again, because apparently the first time you were suffering from a fit of craziness. Seriously Nick Drake is the genius of music.

Anyway... also, the Beatles. Another standard. You have to have at least one of their songs that you like and listen to it often. It's an unspoken rule of being able to hear. (But we all know that.) And The Police, if you're into alternative music with funny lyrics with a deeper meaning. And if you like the Police, also listen to the Talking Heads, and They MIght Be Giants.

More recent people I can recommend are more limited, because today's music is hard to find outside of pop or mass-produced meaningless junk.... But I have to say Jimmy Eat world. They're okay. And Leigh Nash, although you probably won't like her.... And the Ting Tings, and The Almost, especially their album "Southern Weather", because it has my favorite song by them--"Say This Sooner". They are different, not really stuck in one genre of music, you'll just have to listen to them yourself to hear what I mean.

And because I insist on being thorough, you have to listen to at least one punk rock band, and I'd try either Anti-Flag or 7 Seconds (I've told you about them before, and their cover of 99 Red Balloons) or Social Distortion. Maybe not Anti-Flag, but the choice is yours. I'll let you know if I think of any more! :) 'Cuz these are honestly just the basics, the bare minimum to start off a collection of music with a good foundation.

PS: I like both of your aliases, I can't choose a favorite.... So I'm no help there.

Whoa, I wrote a TON.... Sorry, music is important and I lose track of undefined space limits!! :) But I forgot to say that you NEED to have the Rolling Stones on your list also. Even if it is cliche to say so.

PS: I feel a need to re-iterate that you must have Nick Drake on your MP3 no matter what, because his music is perfection. "Life distilled." (Don't know who said that, plus I took it out of context... but I swear, I'm not a plagiarist!!)

Hey, how bout Red Jumpsuit apparatis? I thought they were pretty good. I stumbled upon them in a dirtbiking video game, and they take up most space on my Ipod now adays.

Personally I like parodies and comedy, something like Flight of the Conchords or Weird al. Its an aquiered taste.

Thnx. Its a gramatical term.

Also, crowded house is old, but it has some kickass lyrics.

And I was seriously surprised about your appearence. Not meaning its bad or anything, but the word 'Fang' nowadays gives me a vision of dark and silent type. Also, it took me a while to notice the glasses.

Keep on blogging.

Fair enough. I still like the name though. I will keep on blogging if people keep on reading and yeah the videos have bad quality so that is understandable.

The Killers!! I'd say listen to the Sam's Town album first, then maybe Day&Night, that one's more recent-ish.... Everyone has no choice but to love the songs "Human" and "When You Were Young", just because that's how they are. Then "Shadowplay", definitely. And the entire Sawdust album if you really liked Sam's Town.

Also, the song "All These Things That I've Done" on their album Hot Fuss. It's a good song.

And I swear, that's the last of everything I have to advise!! :)
